GreenMat 1600: The drainage system can be considered the heart of the green roof system. Water retention is key to vegetation persistence and rainfall water retention. Our thick water retention and drainage mats have been designed to provide optimal water retention and release. Made from a single-layer non-woven fabric, they can be used on flat or minor slope green roofs when water retention is required for improved vegetation life. GreenMat R products have internal cohesion that allows them to be cut into panels and fitted into growing trays. Made of 100 % synthetic fibers, this non-woven will not tear, delaminate, or degrade during cutting or the installation process. Available in two grades, they can accommodate your standard and heavy water retention requirements. 

GreenMat 1700: A heavy-duty version of this capillary mat is available as a multifunction and multilayer product. This all-in-one textile is specifically designed for better plant life and has a built-in flexible drainage layer. The upper portion has all the features of protection, capillary, and retention, while the bottom layer has the flexible fibre drainage layer.

Capillary mat: Capillary mat technology has been specifically designed to considerably reduce the time normally allocated to manual watering in nurseries, greenhouses, and garden centers. This technology can now be applied at the bottom of the green roof system to deliver adequate water quantities to the plant’s root system. Capillary action is aimed at assisting water movement through the textile. It will ensure even distribution of water for plants and assist in water movement during high saturation events. Thanks to the water absorption and dispersion properties of our capillary mats, growing media is irrigated uniformly over the entire growing surface. Our products can be used independently or in combination with other irrigation systems and are suited for the economical designs where protection and water retention are required at low cost.
